Depends on your processor size.
For small stuff, just use a plastic drum.. I use a 15 gallon poly drum and just dump KOH in through a wide mouth funnel.. I then use a piece of 3/4 pvc pipe to mix it all up.
The whole process takes about 5 minutes. You must monitor heat generation and on a hot summer day, you might have to slow down the mixing to let some heat dissipate. I don't have any fume control and since I have an open hole I'm mixing through, I do this outside.
I'm moving up to a 200 gallon processor that will require something different.. I'm thinking of pump mixing and a stainless tank to take the heat.

Murphy, you should be carefull doing that in plastic, and with PVC.
Methanol will eat it up.

That information is incorrect.
1. My methanol comes in plastic 55 gallon drums.
2. Methanol and PVC work just fine together.. Rating is "EXCELLENT"
Not sure what you are talking about.
I use methanol with PVC frequently.. never a problem or even a hint of one.. (I use Sch80 pvc.. the dark grey stuff)
The only thing you need to worry about when mixing methanol and lye in a plastic container is heat. The process of mixing the two creates lots of heat so if you have high titrating oil, you may want to mix only half of your lye at a time..
