Intake manifold & New 4V carb for 351-W

I purchased a combo kit from summit racing containing a performer intake manifold from edelbrock, a holley 1850-s four barrel carb, and a summit air cleaner assembly. Its going into a 351-W on my '83 bronco. The new kit is non-EGR and when i replace the man, carb etc i want to get rid of all the non-necessary vacuum lines and emmisions crap. What i'm wondering is if someone could give me some tips on installation. Like some critical procedures to ensure everything works correctly and adds the horsepower i want it to. The old carb and man has a 2 barrel system. Will this cause any problems? All help is appreciated. I feel bad that i'm allways on the receiving end of advice on this website. Thanks again.
