87 Bronco: Aftermarket Door Shells

My Bronco has begun to succumb to rust at the bottom of both doors as well as the liftgate (some surprise huh?). The rest of the body is in relatively good condition and I want to extend the useful life of my truck as long as I can. Has anyone had any experience with aftermarket shells? There's a US$230.00 difference between OEM and aftermarket door shells - are aftermarket generally poorer quality?

Thanks.

Generally, yes. I'm not really sure that the fit would be different, but I've seen aftermarket door shells that were made of a thinner-guaged metal than stock, and dented very easily. I would imagine that an aftermarket tailgate shell would be about the same scenario - looks nice to the eye and wallet, but is actually little more than a glorified Budweiser can.

Hey Sticky, And to all who might need spare parts.

I Have both doors from an 89 Full size Bronco XLT. No rust at all and in good shape. They should fit your 87, I think. Someone might know, for sure, if they will fit.

Also, have driver side finder, fiber glass shell, Rear tail gate without window motor, Rear bumper, 30 gallon gas tank, both cat converters with pipes, dash board, trans & transfer case, and most of the interior trim, a set of 15x8 rims with 31" tires and I may have a set of 15x10 rims with 33"x12.50" tires available soon, and a few other small miscelaneous parts. I, also, have 5.0 engine which I may or may not keep.
