06 F250 exhaust noise TSB
I have an 06 F250 with a 5.4. After turning the motor off, the exhaust makes all kinds of racket (ping, ting ding, etc.) while it's cooling off. Has anyone had the dealer replace the Y pipe, etc. under this TSB?

The noise is no big deal, but if it's makes this much noise, I assume that the repeated heating & cooling will eventually crack the exhaust.
Is the new Y pipe more or less restrictive?

its a normal thing the exhaust muffler has two layers inside and that usually is whats tinging

carls 250 is starting off with a positive reputation.
mine makes that noise while driving & at stops.Will also do it when idling in park.
