British Columbia Campers

Any of you folks enjoy the relaxation of camping. If so do you like to frequent the provincial type sites of the full meal deal type.(full hookups). What area's of the province do you find most attractive.
Having lived in our 5th wheel for almost 1/2 a year we tend to frequent the full hookup sites but do spend a couple outings a year in the provincial sites. We enjoy the cariboo (Quesnel, Dragon Lake,Roberts Roost). Hiway 24 is another area we like to get out to.(Sheridan Lake). Our favorite because it is really close to home is just outside of Headly(River Haven). Far enough to be away from home right on the river.

True, but it sure is nice to climb into a bed of sorts on a cool night. That white thing on the roof comes in handy when the temp hits 30 or higher.

Yeah very true. The temperatures through the night, then into the morning can sure play with a guy!

I love hwy 24. We fished and camped at Sheridan, Fawn, and Halloway when we lived in Slamin Arm. We camp as much as we can with our 19 ft trailer. Mostly dry camping cause up here there is really nothing else. But last year and this year we are going to go to Jasper for a summer vacation. Then it is full hook-ups.

My favorite camping is sleeping on top of a mountain while goat hunting. Makes a guy realise what is really important in life.

I would love to sleep ontop of a mountain, that would rock. Jasper is really awesome to camp in, a tad expensive, but its worth it.

Jasper is about to get busy. When we were in Alberta it was unbelieveable the amount of people there. I remeber one time heading home we stopped to eat there(or at least the family did) I found a parking spot and made it to the resturant in time for an after supper coffee. My wife new someone who lived in Jasper and this person was actually asked what time they let the elk out.

I have a cousin that lives in jasper, so I think next time I go "camping" there, it might be in the backyard at his place!

My wife hates me in Jasper. There is a hoard of toursits around a black bear and I just drive through the middle of them curing seeing another bear and wishing I had my muzzelloader with me. She calls me a redneck, but I think secretly she likes it At least that is what I keep telling myself.
