4L head gasket leak?

Hey guys,

I have a 95 Exp, 4L pushrod. #4 cylinder is dead. I have spark and gas. I hooked up air hose to #4 plug hole and under pressure it forces water up slowly out of the radiator fill hole. Can this be anything other than a bad head gasket or cracked head? Want to make sure before I start tearing into it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

EE

Most likely a cracked head...these motors aren't as famous for it as the 2.9, but still have a tendancy to crack the haeds. Not much else it could be other than the that or the head gasket. Did you get it hot?

I agree. There is a small chance that the lower intake gasket has failed between the #4 cylinder and the coolant port on that corner. Either way though, you're gonna have to take the top end apart.

Thank for the replys. It hasn't been overheated that I'm aware of. Guess I'll tear into it and hope for the best.
