95 EB Bronco. Is it worth it?

I'm thinking about getting a 95 Eddie Bauer Bronco to hunt in this winter, and then sell it afterwords. I have a 98 Z-71 but don't like to take it in the woods. This Bronco has 150000 miles on it and he wants $5300 for it. It is my best friend that has it and I've known the truck since he he bought it in '95. He has kept it maintained excellant and has run mobil 1 since the get go. Do you all think i'll be able to drive it for a couple of months, then get my money back out of it.

Thanks

NADA.COM (for my area) gives a bluebook value for that year of Bronco of $9-11000 but gives a big deduction ($3500) for the mileage. They are saying 'average trade-in' of $5775 and 'retail' of $7995.

4x4's here in Idaho sell high in the fall and lower in spring because there is a lot of hunting here as well. Assuming the rig has been well maintained I would think you could recoup your money but it could take awhile to find a buyer with that many miles.

I recently picked up a 1992 Bronco XLT that is in excellent shape but it has 218K miles on it. Although I believe I got a very good deal, I paid $1700 but it gives you an idea of how fast values fall with high miles.

I hope this helps.

If you know the person selling the vehicle and have a good idea how it was maintained I would say that it will be a good deal for you (except that after driving it for one season you probably won't want to get rid of it!!). I've seen people buy year old vehicles that looked great and they fell apart in 10,000 miles.
