A while back i read a post in reguard to engine rebuiling and on one of the post the guy put a link to a page that gave instructions that nascar and other hotrodders use on modifing a sparkplug.
the instructions went a little like this.
take a ordinary sparkplug, set the gap, then cut half of the bent tip off. this is based method of the "pos" splitfire plugs, but it gives you more exsposed fire at detination. making more horsepower.
my question is does anyone remember seeing this page also and where can i find it again.

 

I think your refering to side-gapped plugs, go to Performance Unlimited, I think under the tech section, they have a very good section on how to do this. It does work, and I feel worth the time, both my trucks have 'em.

 

Hey thanks that is the site i was looking for. Did you have to reset your timming with this mod. i wouldnt think, but just asking. I got plans on rebuilding my 302 this jan when i return from det and plan on doing the plugs then too along with a hand full of other mods.
