TS Performance 6 Position Diesel Chip

http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/d...iesel-Chip.htm

I'm lookin into getting this chip from TS Performance and was wondering if anyone out there already has this for their Powerstroke. Basically lookin for some input on this cmpany and their 6 position chip. Also this chip comes with an option of high idle. My truck already has this option. What I was wondering is this normally come on the 01' PSD or could it be someone put this on there after they bought the truck.

Save your money and do it right the first time with a DP Tuner chip.

I got a 'one size fits all' TS Performance chip when a newb, ended up dumping it for a DP Tuner because the TS just wasn't performing. Do some reading here and you'll find that many of the FTE members have pulled their Brand 'x' chips and replaced them with Jody's tunes.

If you already have a high idle control, it is most likey that it is the AIC, auxillary idle control that is a Ford option.

There is nothing "wrong" with the TS chips. Infact they make the Blanks that 90% of the programers (people that write tunes) use. DP has there own chip that is very nice too.

I believe you will like the TS chip as its the same chip as Diesel Innovations, Sniper Tuning, or Bullydog's 4 bank 6 position chip. The only difference between the chips is who stamps there name on them and how they program the chip. I run sniper tuning and haven't had a single problem and i'm running anywhere from 19.5 to 20.5 mpg.

Dennis Perry at TS writes all there 7.3 stuff. He is one of the first and still at the top of the game. Others like Jody at DP and Tadd at Elite have just kept working more with the older trucks where Dennis has moved on a bit. I have 6 TS blanks with tunes from about everyone on them.

They all run about the same at the top end, but shifting, idle, cruising are a little different.

I have an 01 also, but it didn't have high idle. I have the TS chip and it does have the high idle as well as 5 other positions. I am very happy with it and the way my truck has performed since I got it. Life is good. Only problem I had once was when my truck wouldn't start. I thought it was the CPS and changed it out with no improvement. Eventually I found out it involved the chip..Probably just moved on the board or something like that. Put it back on the PCM board and been fine every since.

I've got one. May not be "the Best" but my truck will never be without a chip again. That is how much difference it makes. Of course my fuel economy is in the crapper too because I can't keep my foot out of it. Driving it in the stock setting makes you want to pull over and find out what is wrong with the truck.

I don't have a TS chip but I do have a Diesel Innovations six position chip which was mentioned earlier in this thread and Tenn is right, once you run a chip in your truck you will never go back to plain stock. A chip awakens the beast within the 7.3 Power Stroke.

I have a TS Performance 6 Position Chip. Love it.
Super smooth shifting and awesome power......can make my 40" tires howl if I want

I've ran other programs and chips (including DP) and the TS Performance performs the best on my truck (38-40" tires, BTS trans, 4.56 gears, etc)....

Not really.

Although, since apparently there is/or you think there is....drop me a PM and let me know what it is. Or post it here, either way.
