Lightbulb 4.6 swap into a '68 F100

I have access to a free 4.6 and auto overdrive out of a '97 Expedition that has 215,000 miles on it. Do I want to bother trying to swap this into my newly acquired '68 F100? I assume it would need rebuilt/freshened. What parts of the harness do I need to make the FI work and the tranny work? I assume I also need the rear axle for the tone ring for the abs to function and not wig out the computer. Would it be worth the effort? What kind of mileage do you guys get with the 4.6 in the pickups? I would like to make it a cool cruiser and road tripper. The truck is pretty straight and seems to be fairly rust free.

Any information you could muster would be helpful in aiding my decision.

You will also need a the gas tank set up out of the Expy. The tank is a pressure system not a vacuum set up like what came in 68'. I would expect the fuel milage to be around 15mpg.

Karkraft is making a carb setup for the 5.4L's I can't imagine 4.6L's will be far behind, that would solve the fuel problems and a lot of the electrical problems. Ford is also pushing a 4.6L crate for older restorations, check out Classic trucks they are installing said crate engine in a bump.
