Cammed 5.4L?

Hello Ford guys!

I am working on a 01 F-250, and while I have the motor torn down, I was also looking for a supplier that makes cams for a 5.4 that won't set me back a huge amount. I'm not talking something radical, but more of mild setup. Does anyone have any links that would send me in the right direciton?

Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the forum

Try www.compcams.com . They are the best in the cam business. They are all kinda pricey from what I have seen. Especially since you have to buy 2 of them.

Is there anybody on here running Comp Cams? Just curious. Basically this is a situation where the motor is already town down for head work, so I was in hopes of finding a mild cam just to wake things up if ya know what I mean. I'm not looking for a Crower Stage 3 makeover or anything....

I have one in my 460. Alot of Mustang guys run them and the Mustang mags use them as well.

I would recommend the XE262AH for your application.

I am in the same boat. I see this post is few days old hope this info is not to late. If you are looking for a torque cam the best info i have so far points to the Crower Baja Beast #62905-2. Crane offer the #379601 but they also recommend you change the valve springs. I have had good results from Comp Cams in the past but they do not offer a torque cam for our 2001 F250 5.4L SOHC 2V. But I am still asking for more advice myself. I am looking for a low end to mid range torque cam for Mud Bogs. If you just want mid to high rpm HP increase i think Comp Cams has one for that need and I would trust their product.
