The point is, diesels usually can smoke a gasser, but there's the weight factor to consider here. A stock Titan can smoke any 1/2 or 3/4 ton gasser if the drivers are equally matched. A F250 diesel that outweighs a Titan by a 1000 lbs is gonna lose in a stoplight to stoplight race. It's no contest.

if powerlaunched stop light to stoplight there is no comparison, 250 6.0 will eat it up, now if your stock and you go further than a stoplight youll prob get taken, but one tune from matt at lipd and youll be looking for mustang gts not a nissan titan
Ok so what about the weight difference in my crew cab long bed dually compared to his 4 door short bed 3/4 ton dodge hemi? quite a bit of weight difference there, and I beat him by a truck length (and i have a LONG truck length ) in less than an 1/8th

I'm pretty positive if I program performance mode on SCMT I'll smoke that little thing.I just have to send the programmer for update.Heck, just for giggles I'd like to try it stock though.

Uh huh...How do you know that? Ever driven or raced a Titan?
...one tune from Stillen, and you'll be lookin for more than a tune from matt.

Armchair (or in this case Keyboard) "discussion" are only opinions and/or impressions
This is still armchair but --> http://www.motortrend.com/features/p..._nissan_titan/
states the Stillen supercharged version can go "0 to 60 in 6.0 seconds, 1.2 Seconds faster than stock" --- and some college level math leads us to 7.2 sec stock 0 - 60..
and in a table there:
Quarter mile stock - 15.3 sec @ 90.4 mph stillen -14.5 sec @ 97.7 mph
even with tuning my bus is @ 8.9 @ 74 in the 1/8th, giving me 5.6 seconds to go 1/8th with a 74 mph running start
my guess is that it's a loss for the Titan (even supercharged ! )
but so what ?!?! it's not like either of us are buying race trucks

Stillen had "Open House" for Titan owners on Saturday.
Free this, free that, free lunch, how to's, dynos..special deals on whatevers.
Motor Trend specs are from 2005. 2007's have more HP & Torque
2008's out next month...more HP & Torque...
But so what, didn't buying this thing to race, just for the better ergonomics it offers over the F150.
Hey Ford, how about a telescopic wheel in 2009?
Overfed sasquatched sized gimpy old geezer needs more space,
I passed on Stillen yesterday..went last November.
