Another problem with truck!!!!!
Ok its a 1994 2.3l ranger ext cab. Alright well this truck is killing me. Ok when I was driving on the freeway my truck flashed the check engine light then it went off. Then my truck lost a lot of power. Also my truck began to overheat (which my truck never does, it actually usually runs very cold). So I am guessing my truck is running lean. I have checked the O2 sensor and the ECT sensor. What other sensors are there to check. Please let me know any of your thoughts. Thanks

The best thing you can do is find out what codes there are Is the light still on? I believe 94 is pre OBD11 so the scanner to read them isn't very expensive, however the light has to be on to do so. Someone else chime in here if I am wrong on this. If it is OBD11 the plug to connect the scanner is about 2 inches long with two rows of contacts, and under the dash, the earlier one is out on the left fender splash sheild and has about five or six terminals. Finally Auto Zone may scan it for you if there is one in your area.
