Ive got a 97 f-150 truck with a blown engine. The truck is a romeo 4.6 and i recently came across a 96 gt mustang with a 4.6 windsor motor in it. How hard will the swap be and will it work. I am getting everything from the mustang but the car it self. motor, trans, harness, pcm, Is this doable and how so. Thanks Cory

 

The main things are the timing cover and oil pan. I went with an 03 mustang motor in mine so the heads were different and I had my intake hogged out to match. I did not have to change over the pcm or any wiring for mine to work. Oh the knock sensor had a hole under the intake for my romeor and the winsor did not. We tapped the block to get this to work on mine who know what it is like on a 96 motor. IT can be done and if your getting everything from the mustang it shouldn't be a big deal. Just look over everything before you do it

 

Yea that is what i was thinking. Ok thanks well i hope to start on it friday after work. just wanted to make sure i was able to get somewhere with it
