Well, I can see how you would come to that conclusion.

But, to my knowledge, the only thing that piece does is allow air from both hoses to be able to enter the "Idle Air Control" or IAC. This neat little gizmo adjusts, at 0% throttle, to let just the right/small amount of air into the intake manifold to keep your truck at a smooth idle. It completely by passes the throttle body.

I cut the restrictor horn thingys off and I can honestly say that I felt the difference. My thought process-->Is it easier to breath through your mouth or nose? So why wouldnt be easier for your truck to breath with less restriction?

Go with a complete header to tailpipe system. Gale Banks Engineering Stainless headers are awesome. I, too, was looking for power, big hills slowed me down, when loaded etc. above 2500 under full load, full throttle, it was a pooch. The simple addition of a complete, engineered, well built system, made a new truck out of it. I'm happy. I've a 250 with 410 gears.

Can anyone confirm or deny the 1994 F350 W/7.5L 460 having a stock Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF)? I can't find one on my truck. Although I bought it with a K&N air filter, I don't know if the air box was changed or not. I'm leaning towards no, just the drop in filter. A picture of a stock air box setup would also be helpful.

Any info is GREATLY appreciated!

If it has been swapped, the MAF set up will have a single hose from the housing lid to the MAF then will split back to twin hoses. The SD set up will have the twin hoses from the housing lid to the throttle body.
