Question Location of starter on a 78' F100?

Anybody have an idea where the starter is located on a 1978 F100?

I've got a 351M if that matters.

Welcome to the site !

Just so you know...1978 F100 means absolutely nothing

Parts location is subject only to the engine itself.

starter location on 351M = Right bank of engine below the #4 cylinder
attached to the bellhousing of the transmission

as shown here.

Just in case you dont know.By right side he means your right sitting in the truck.Or your left standing in front. This confuses some people.

Red face

Dennis and Tim,

Thank you both for your help. I spent over an hour trying to find a link on the subject through google and couldn't find what I needed and then I found this forum.

Thanks again for the help and for the link!
