I know that a purist would hate this, but I put a Chevy frame clip on mine, I'm about $110.00 deep with a rolling truck, centerline of wheels are at the bottom of door (It is currently a rolling chassis with cab), so when the 460 and front sheetmetal is added it ought to look real good. This clip netted me IFS, power steering, disc brakes, and is allowing me to get that 17" steering wheel out of my gut.
I'm right along with you. Pulled my front suspension from a 79 Chevy Heavy Half. No easy install though, had to widen it 3", witch meant new steering, but i got bags, 12" discs, and plenty of exhaust and pan clearance for the 466.
