Several lift questions

Ok...been looking at lifts for a long time for my '94 Ranger, 2WD.

I think I've settled on a look I like after looking at another truck, a 6" suspension lift, plus 3" body lift, plus 35" tires on new wheels. Should give me 13" of total lift if I calculated that correctly.

First question: Pitman arms. The 6" suspension kit comes with a new pitman arm, but will I be SOL after putting the suspension and body lift on? I'm not too shabby with metal, but I do not believe I can fab a pitman arm. Anybody sell a pitman arm for a 9" lift?

Brake lines: Of course...I'll need new ones. Again, anybody know of a source for 9" lifted Ranger brake lines?

Shocks: Again...source for shocks for a 9" lifted truck?

Wheels/Tires: How much should I expect to pay for a full set of four? I need new wheels, as my 14"s leave a lot to be desired with tire choices. How much would four wheels go for? Not looking for anything too great, just something I can put 35"s on.

Gears: I know I'll need at least 4.10s, but I'd rather not go lower than that so I can keep my very good highway cruising. I would like to get either a locker or a good limited slip. Is Tru-Trac the one that is the gear LS? How much should I expect to pay for a 4.10 LS for the 8.8" 10 bolt rear diff?

Finally, any other thoughts? Things I've missed? Total cost estimate?

I know it's just a 2WD, but I'd like to have a little fun with it!

Thanks.

The bodylift won't effect the shocks and brakelines as the body is just lifted higher off the frame unless any of these pieces attach to the body it's self. Superlift, fox, eldebrock make shocks for high lifts. Suspension lift companies like superlift, rancho will have extended brakelines, pitman arms and so forth. You need componetes for 6" of lift as the body lift is a seperate issue. To simplify, you need shocks, brakelines, pitman arm and so forth for 6" of lift. The bodylift will shorten your shifter by 3" and will effect the brakelines going up to the mastercylinder, clutch linckage or what have you, anything that goes from the body down to the frameing of the truck, you get the general idea. wheels can be had cheap if you go with the black or white wagon spoke, tires will very by brand, but will be between 150.00 -200.00 a piece, somewhere in there. The truetrac and torson are both gear driven lsd and will run around 400.00 for the unit. With 35" tires, I would recomend 4:56's as they will add weight and drag, plus being taller. If you had an automatic, 4:10's wouldn't be as much of an issue, but can be done, just baby the clutch. Just go with a good quality 6" lift kit and it should have the xtras that you need as far as shocks and stuff. Is your clutch hydrulic, linckage or cable on your 94? I have to think about this some more, you sorta a through me with so much lift, I wasn't expecting that ha ha.

Lol. The '94 is a hydraulic clutch. I may go with 4.56s...I had forgotten about the additional mass of the tires, good point, thanks for bringing that up.

35" tires over P225s (approx 26.4")

35-26=9"
9/2 = 4.5"

9" lift + 4.5" tires = 13.5" of lift, going with 13 since the tires won't actually be full size when they've got weight on them.
