Vacuum cannister

I have an 88 XLT with a 302 and AOD. There is a "vacuum cannister" mounted on the passenger side fenderwell. I am told that this effects the operation of the EGR valve as well as the cruise control. Does anyone know where I can find a schematic to show where the vacuum lines run? The dealership says that it is common for the lines to become brittle and break off. I cannot find any information in my Chiltons manual. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Vacuum cannister

From the vacuum tree at the back of the intake over to a T-fitting one goes to the cruise modulator with a valve in it and the other goes to the left hand fender near the wheelwell to the cannister.

I'll look for a diagram though.
