[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Feb-02 AT 10:41 AM (EST)]Ok, I've seen Under Hood Lights before. They usually consist of a socket and a light, with a wire hanging off it. What's the deal with the huge blower looking thing on the Bronco? Is there more to this unit than meets the eye?

That is actually a spool- the light socket comes out of it and has a little magnet so that you can stick it wherever you need a light(even though it's not very bright).

 

Oh, very cool! I'll have to check that out after work. Thanks for the insight. I'd have never figured that one out.

ya know - ya just have to wonder... does that light really go out when you close to hood?

 

The best way to know if the light is REALLY out when the hood is closed is to remove the bulb.....just lige the fridge in the kitchen.
