Nothing showed on the xrays. So the Doc said to give it a week and if it it isn't better he will send her in for an MRI. She's doing better tonight though. She turned down the pain meds he offered. So I told her she wasn't getting any more of mine. HAAA She took one last night ta help her sleep. But refuses any more. She's a tough old bird, she is.

G'morning AKWAs!

AKWA is Alaskan-Washingtonian. Could have said WAAKs i guess.

And Vols too: Wolfie is late if reading this now -- the sun comes up two hours earlier over Mud Island. Get to work!

The Vegas casinos are already (still lol) rolling for nubeee1

That's good news, and she sounds like a hard charger keeping things going there, you're a lucky guy!

The sun is slowly creeping over your way this morning

I read the news, drink coffee, scrub the sleep out of my eyes before checking in here... reading the news...nothing like getting the day started mad.

You have got to have the worst internet connection ever, besides somebody working at Prudhoe Bay or the North Pole or Outer Siberia...

I've been at work since 6:30 local time here in Maryland and will probably shift to 5:30 for 2 weeks next week. It's a pain working here at the university. Up at 5, get dressed grab some grubb on the way, get to the power house, rip and tear, leave at 7, grab some grubb, get a shower go to sleep and start again. NO TIME FOR NOTHIN, but they pay me good and home for 2 weeks with pay after the 15th, and listening to the surf when (10-12) I get up in the morning.

Sounds like a watch-standing schedule or something.

Eric, your house is on the beach to listen to the surf? I  the ocean, can sit for hours looking and listening at everything going on around the sea.

My Dish got knocked out of line this winter Rex. I'll try and contact Starband and have them send someone out to realine it. I thought after the muskeg thawed under the house it would settle back in but it never did. Starband is good about contacting the repairmen. But it's about impossible to get them to come out this far for one small job. So it takes forever. Never have had to pay for any service repair in the 8 years that we have had the system. This is also the worst it's ever been.

My sis in Sutton says her old Jeep Grand cherokee had trouble getting around too.

That's why you love Alaska right. When you moving back down here?

Sorry Rex, got to work for a living. I squeeze a quick one now and then on break. No the job I got with GE is doing field service so I go where the equipment is down and work the outragous hours to getem up so shafts turn and the lights burn (some are power plants and some are mechanical drive). I've done my time doing the engineroom thing for most of 20 in Uncle Sugars Canoe Club.

I love where I live and if you look at the map of the Longbeach Penninsula I sit almost smack dab in the middle of the penninsula, 1 mile to the beach and 1/2 mile to the bay by road. Go sit on the bank of the columbia for Salmon and Sturgeon 15 minutes south of the house by Chinook. Fresh Razor Clams, followed by fresh wild Willapa Bay Oysters during the tides. It's my little slice of heaven and when I'm home heaven help the clown that comes in and desturbes me.

We can still drive on the beach here except during the summer down by Longbeach itself because of the tourist, just has to be a legally licensed vehicle or they will give you a ticket.

No prob, somebody has to work for a living, just not me as I take my retirement real serious out here in the woods. As looking at my gut will tell ya' lol.

I just passed by out your way crossing the Ashland bridge. That whole area in WA is beautiful, hell the whole state is beautiful 'cept for parts on the other side of the Cascades. Don't blame ya' for discouraging visitors, we've got remoted claymores at the driveway entrance.

You were the blockhole gang onboard? Then you know ya' love 7-days a week >12-hours a day. I wonder if they let the Gang stand that long of a duty anymore for safety reasons. There's too much that can go wrong from a tired body.

Seriously thinking about it Rex. Three more places came up for sale after the hard winter we had. But when the sun shines and the fishing is good I don't even think about leaving. I sent a note to my ISP and should hear back by the end of the day as to when they will send a Tech out to realigne my dish.

We'll lay out the welcome mat if y'all move back here. Hell, that may even get me off the Island to help you move in. Truck for hauling stuff

I'm off outside to do some work on Senior (the '78).
