Joe J,

Thre is more to the Fold and extend than the switch. The fact is there is a new module control those functions on the new 08, and the mirrors are over $1200 by them selves.

So, setting the high cost factor aside. In terms of can it be done or not, could one get the module, switch, harness, and mirrors and make it work, or is the module part of some other system like the pcm that you can't integrate?

i would love to do that mo but i have the sport package and the heated power mirrors with the integrated turn signals...the mirrors are white like the rest of my truck and i got aftermarket clear lenses from recon....itll seem like a waste if i got rid of em...plus i dont tow so i dont need the added site...but they do look awesome...great mod man!!!

Good question! I'll have to go see what is all involved when time allows.

They do extend manually, and the view on them is awesome when tryiong to tow, or back in.

Do these mirrors use a module between the switch and mirror? would it be possible to switch the wires at the switch to fix the wrong direction problem?

Or maybe turn the switch 180* and flip the left/right wires...

Nope no module in between. The only way to fix the issue is remove the common ground between the motors inside the mirror. And that can cause mirror damage, trust me I already broke on trying to get in there!

the sacrifices our sponsors make for us !

have to admit, I've had a few Superduties pull up near me and the mirrors definitely get a few double takes !

The mirrors are awesome. Gives the truck a real serious "All business" attitude.
