Hi,this is your basic BS chat thread for the month of April. Worked well on another sit I belong to!
So just talk about anything you want.What your doing or planing on doing. Hows your truck, any new things your working on or in the works Have fun with it!!!
OK I'll start,
As some of you know I have been on a mission to get my truck into the high 11 second 1/4
Well went to the track Sat with an added 4# of boost and went for it. I'm running 18 PSI now.
First pass went well,did a pass on just motor and ran a 12.3,great. so next pass is with a 100 shot of nitrous and off I go,,felt like an ok run but when I let off it sounds like Hell and loud!!! But still running so I pull in the pits and pop the hood to take a look thinking the worse!Can't see anything so I get in start it up.Sounds bad,,missing and loud.So I get on the phone and we decide best to have it toed to his place.( the guy that bilt and works on the motor)
After an hour and a 1/2 his buddy gets there with a trailer. Drive it on and scratch up my running board on his fender. So anyway were out of there.
Couple days later I get the news.Good news is it not blown up. Blew the exhaust apart and blew some hoses off the intake. Lucky me,,still no truck but at least it wont cost me an arm and a lag to get going again.
And just so you know,,it took me an hour to type this so sorry about any typos,,lol.

Glad you having to redo the motor Phil that would really suck. All I have going on is I'm waiting on the rebuilt trans for the 86 which should be done soon so I can change it over to a automatic. I was sitting here the other night and I had to do something to cheer me up a little so I ordered the ladder bars for the 05, they should be here in a few days.

Well I backed my 62' out of the garage, washed and detailed her Sat., Sun I backed her out to work on something in the garage, went to put it back in and I'm like....what the ...., looked like somebody took a paint ball gun loaded with bird crap and attacked my truck! Tues. night I went to a cruise night on Kent Island, so I had to wash the truck again. She hasn't ran in couple of months but ran real good.
