2005 F250 Wheels on 1999 F350

I have a 1999 F350 Superduty with stock wheels and 285/75/16 tires. I am looking at a set of wheels and tires off of a 2005 F250 Superduty and am wondering if the wheels will fit. The wheels are Helo Maxx 20" with 33 x 12.5 x 20 tires. I know the tire size is fine but will I have problems with the wheels fitting?
Thanks.

In 2005 Ford changed the offset of the single rear wheel trucks from .25" to 1.5", so, if you run wheels with the '99-'04 Ford factory specs (8-170 MM bolt circle, 4.93" bore, hub centric, .25" offset), all will be fine except the tires will stick out about an inch past the wheel well, give or take depending on the width of the tire selected. In which case you may want to consider fender flares if that bothers you.

I am a little confused about your response after I read it a second time. I am putting 2005 wheels on a 1999 truck, it looks as if your response is stating the opposite, putting 1999 wheels on a 2005 truck. Can you please confirm?
Thanks.

oh, no, wait a minute, I am so sorry -- I have this backwards (gulp, what was I thinking, I guess I wasn't, sorry): The specs and offset I just gave you are absolutely correct but the effect of running '05 wheels on your '99 is not correct -- I would NOT recommend it because the offset change will cause the newer wheel to sit further inside the wheel well and could potentially interfere with the brake rotors and suspension components, etc -- or at least may get too close.

Sorry about that.
Thanks,
Heather

Yes, you were right, I was not answering the question you asked -- sorry for the confusion.

Ok, thanks for the info. The wheels have a 5" offset so it is 3/4" from stock.
