Thumbs up

86-96 F-150 with a 4.9L EFI comes with outrageous ss alloy, split,,exhaust headers that go 2 into 1 at the Cat Conv which you do not need. It works great because it is tuned for that engine. FWIW a 300 CID = a 4.9L, they are one in the same engine. Salvage yards are full of them.

By stainless steel alloy I do not mean pretty, shiney, headers, I mean strong, heat resistant, durable, long lasting, steel tubing, headers.

I have not done this in years but , headers do sound very, very, good !
And man don't get me started about the power increase, bad to the bone
and an easy install!

Heres a link that may help?

Question headers

Try-----Cliffordperformance.net/---in Colorado. They specialize in inline performance parts. Cant think of anything performance related that they dont have for these engines.

Dont get Hedman! They dont fit 67-72's like their chart says. I had to cut a chunk out of my frame so they would go in. My nephew has the same problem with his 72. I use headers in any vehicle I can, so I'm not exactly a rookie. Give Hooker or Dynomax a try.

Where do you live? I have some Hooker Super Competition headers with heat wrap on them laying around, only used a couple of weeks.
