6.4 emissions

I was thinking today how emission friendly this new motor really can be. Aside from the change in the actual fuel. . . . this motor is supposed to burn less fuel, be more fuel efficient. So yeah when you hook up the tailpipe to an emissions reader it will show low emissions. . . becuase of all of the filters collecting everything. But what about durring the regen process when its burning all the collected garbage up and dumping extra fuel into the exhaust to do it? Seems to me like its a little backwards. What do you guys think?

I agree the american truck manu. just dont get it, the people at benz have a engine that injects urea into the exhaust to lower emissions. still waiting on U.S. approval it will do away with the need for the pdf.
