Just bought me one of these!

Actually its my wife's but since its a diesel I will indulge!

AWESOME...My SIL has one but not the wagon...she gets awesome MPG's.

Did you get the stick or auto?

We got the stick. We both grew up on manual shifts. Its REALLY quiet for a diesel. Apparently its not uncommon to get 50 plus MPG once its broken in.

Both my wife and I have driven sticks most of our lives so we enjoy them actually...the only stick we currently have is her Mini Cooper...

Yeah...one thing I noticed about my SIL's VW diesel is just how quiet it is!...and the mpgs are awesome...

Mini Cooper has a diesel version for Europe but hasn't brought it here yet...I've seen reports of that diesel cooper getting close to 70mpg's!!!...if we would just realize that fossil fuels right now CAN BE fuel efficient and bring some of these high mileage diesel cars to the states...we would be much better off...but the environmental wacko's are driving this ship and have been for a while...

Again...good luck with the car...I have always liked the VW Diesels...do you consider yourself being officially "Farfignuten'd"? LOL

The exhaust system on this TDI is more complicated than the Dilithium crystal regeneration unit on the Starship Enterprise. It has a DPF (diesel particulate filter) a NOX (Nitrogen Oxide converter) and a Catalytic converter. I dread to think of the cost of exhaust replacement!

As for Farfignuten. mein Herz schlägt schnell when I drive it and das Herz fiel mir in die Hose when the turbo spools up!!
