firestone air pump for air bags

I just bought the air pump and 1/2 gal tank for my air bags. I was wondering where all of you mounted your pump. It states it needs to be in a moisture free spot. I was thinking in the cab behind the passenger back seat. Sure it would be loud when I make a adjustment but it would stay dry there. I would mount the 1/2 gallon tank somewhere under the truck and just pipe the line through the floor or something. I checked under the hook but could find a place. Any ideas or has someone done this?

Here is a link to a recent thread with mounting pictures etc... mounted under the truck at frame rail in a battery box.

There is also a write up article on this over at TDS.

Hope this helps.

I mounted a Viair 450c behind the rear seat on the left in place of the factory joke...I mean jack other than the noise seams like a good place.I modified a black rubber strap to hold it down like the jack was held down on the bracket. A 5 gal tank is mounted on the frame rail on the inside.

that is exactly what I was thinking, how loud does it get? I mean hell, how often do you actually use it right?

It's a little annoying but unless you have a leak it should not run too often. Mine is also used for my train horn so it can run more often. Keeping it dry and clean out weighs the annoying noise factor.

so where did you all tap the wiring into? I like your idea of the black rubber strap.
