Question Need advice for some new heads

I have an 88 F-350 with the 460.
It's been bored to .030 over.
Crank is .010 under
New pistons (stock, not domed or dished)
CompCams Mild-grind (Camshaft, Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 268/268, Lift .494/.494)

Question:
I'm having a hard time finding proper heads for these. I'm told that some heads will require non-stock valve locations, etc. Also, different b/w Carb'd vs Fuelie, and/or smog/no smog.
I do not plan to reinstall it with the smog gear.
I plan to put in a Sniper or Terminator and keep FI.

Any guidance on purchasing heads that will work? Seems like people are either "It'll work just fine..." , or "...don't you dare buy anything...nothing will work because pre '79 <yada yada yada> and Fuel injection <yada yada>..."

It looks like "Edelbrock part #61645 Performer RPM CJ cylinder head" might be fine.

Any guidance here? I didn't think it would be this difficult. I've head swapped 5.0L's with no issues, but it seems that the 460 has more things to think about.

the Edelbrock perf rpm CJ heads #61645 might have a bigger runner(310cc) ,and might only align ports with a victor style single plane intake , .the price listed for the heads is for just 1 head .what intake do you have or plan to use? it should be a dual plane type .find some D3ve heads and get them rebuilt ,and use a intake that matches the ports .with the right size carb ,there would be no need fuel injections

What is the purpose of the engine?

All production stock 460 pistons were dished. There were none built with domes or flat tops.

All production heads used the same valve pierce points but that does not mean that they are all interchangeable. Any head with the CJ sized valves will must be used with a piston that has a larger intake valve relief than what pistons used for standard engines.

The heads that came on the EFI engines have intake and exhaust ports that are in different locations than other production heads. If you're changing to a different intake manifold and exhaust headers then this isn't a problem.

The best all around production style aluminum head is the TFS Street head. These can be had with all sorts of options but for a 460 on the street the standard non CNC port would be the best option.

I think the pistons he is referring to are the early EFI very shallow dish pistons, from some angles they look like flattops to me too. If you plan to run a sniper type EFI on a 4V type intake you are not limited to the EFI heads you just have to make sure that the valve location and size are compatible with the valve reliefs in your pistons.

Thank you for the input Gary. I would like to keep this fuel injected.

Agreed that in my experience a cj type head would likely require a cj style intake due to port and runner size contributing to that a passenger car intake doesn't even cover the entire port and would be a tremendous leak in some cases. Dove heads and d3 heads both seem to make very good truck engines, after the fact, but will depend on compression desired and other fundamentals, If I recall correctly, there were 2 head castings at least for efi and 2 piston heights possibly depending on year, so it would be a possible necessity to determine exactly what piston is there to not go over on compression.

If you aren't concerned with budget about $3500 for a complete ported new casting EFI heads and top end kit from Parkland Performance Auto Machine in Tacoma, WA. Easily support 100HP/CI.

I'm hoping you meant 1hp/ci, 100hp/litre might work on the most extreme builds Scott used to say ~ 750hp was about the best cast iron could do but maybe he's found some more in them in the last couple of years.
