Power steering pulley for 7.3

In my haste, I mangled my pulley trying to get it off the shaft. I have been searching all over the net for a new one and can't find it. Seems like just about everyone has the serpentine pulley but not the single belt type that I need. Any suggestions before I start the junkyard search?

Many thanks,
Andy

Thanks for the tip, shorthair. I checked it out, that is the one I don't need. Mine has a solid pulley, no holes, and it takes a regular V belt.

wolgy1999,
Welcome to FTE and the IDI diesel forum.

I would say dealer or salvage yard would be your best bet.

Check your diameter on the pulley. I doesn't have to come off of a diesel motor. Ford used the same pump for years on just about everthing.

I may have one out in the shop I will give you. I have several out there.

Thanks everyone for your help. I am giving up the internet search and will have to hit the junkyards. Are these 7.3 IH engines very rare? I don't understand why I can't find one stinkin pulley. Catfish, if you have one, I'll gladly pay you $20. This '92 has almost 290k on the clock. She's getting tired, but not ready to give up just yet.

Pulley can be used off any F Series truck, gas or diesel, just as long as it matches the one you have (same diameter and width of single sheeve). Pulley is a press fit unto pump.

Ford Part Numbers

E3TZ-3A733-A .. P/S Pulley w/o A/C (1983-93 F Series)

E8TZ-3A733-A .. P/S Pulley w/ A/C (1988/93 F Series)
