Damn, It sure pays to watch site. I live in rural Stockton and haven't been watching lately and missed meeting all of you. Jim
Sorry, jmerson, I apologize. That was dumb of me - we should have notified every member of the meeting. We are still learning how to do things as a chapter.
We should have sent you an invitation!
Clint, Chapter Leader.

Wow!
Think I'm heading up to Jims...see if any extra Flatty parts rolled out of the garage
Ooh! I forgot to mention the best part of the meet! While we were standing around BSing, a guy came up and rather sheepishly asked if he could get a jump for his Chevy.
A more perfect opportunity has never arisen for me - giving a chevy a jump at an FTE meet at a Ford F-100 Elites meet!
Yeah that was pretty cool. However, I want to know why anyone would bring a Chevy to a Ford meet? I mean it was not a muscle car, or a classic, just a run of the mill minivan.

Whenever that happens, I think of it as a chance to preach the good word about Fords. Maybe I can gently convert someone to the good side of the force. Every Chebby owner we can convert is worth saving. Even though I say all this, I feel like a hypocrite. I was the only one who came to the FTE meeting in a non FORD My little Corolla sure looked small compared to all the Ford Steel around it. I think that 460 was bigger than my whole car!

Wow, I'm sorry I missed the chance to jump a Chebby. I was probably over at the raffle picking up a gallon of window washer fluid that I won!
This location is so good, I think we should plan on attending every year. The sign did generate a few questions about the site to which I was happy to respond. Maybe a couple of more members?
Does anybody else have a suggestion for our next get together? There is a nice show in Elk Grove at the Elk Grove Park coming up. It is open to all pre 74 cars/trucks. It is the 9th of June. It costs money to show your car, but the public is free.
Any other ideas? Jag

Yes Clint I am the one considering buying a Blazer for my daily driver. However, even if I HAD bought the Blazer already, I STILL would have taken the camper since it WAS a Ford meet. And, buying the Blazer is going to be my ticket to get a 1992 Ford Ranger 4x4. I had entertained thoughts of just keeping the Blazer, but I want the utility of the pickup bed. So the Blazer will stay only long enough to detail it, and sell it for a nice profit.

The Micke Grove site seems to be a good place for a chapter meet. Central to most the members I believe. And the park has lots of things for th kids to do, and see.

Jim, don't feel bad. Had I come I would have brought my Jeep. I use it because it suits my needs better than a Ford, and I would not have been ashamed of it.
I shouldn't have poked fun at you - but you were such an easy target. . .

The Cherokee suits your needs better than any Ford eh? I think it is time you trade that in for a Ford Exploder. er Explorer! As for the Blazer, I have owned one, and liked it, but it doesn't have the same utility as the Ranger. I mean if I need to haul a refrigerator, or an engine, I can do that in the bed of the Ranger, but not the Blazer.
