Jag Red 54 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Ok, I'm all set. The sign is done and the wife is packing extra hotdogs for anybody that may show up hungry. The sign will have a balloon attached to it, so look for a big guy next to a sign that looks like: / I'll have my FTE teeshirt on and maybe my new JAG hat if it's ready in time. We'll be pulling in about 8:30am depending on if we have to stop or not. Two years ago we were all sitting on the side of the 99 freeway with a brokedown Ch**y engine in a 56 F100 about 8:00am. Nobody was happy for about 15 minutes until we found out the hotwire to the coil was bad. Then it was all smiles again as the group cruised into the park. Hope to see everybody there. John

Change of plans for me. We are staying at Tower Park RV Park. There are trains that make loud noise at Stockton Lodi RV Park.
Leaving here soon. Nighteyez, we'll talk on cell phone after I get within range.

I was hoping to come down tonight, but got majorly screwed over at work the last two days with the end result that I haven't had time to do a few much-needed things to the truck...and it took me much longer than I thought it would to get the trailer all up to snuff. In fact, I'm still working on it. The clearance lights all decided to quit working, but of course it's not just one wire that's off but a different problem with each one. I've got half of them working now, when I'm done with that I still need to change a yoke on the driveline and align the front end of the truck, then check fluids. And I still haven't packed or done the shopping...!

What fun...(wasn't this supposed to be fun?)

So now I'm planning to pull out of here about 4:30 in the AM so I can get to Micke Grove by 8:00. No way I can leave tonight, I'm just too beat. I'd fall asleep at the wheel, guaranteed. Then someone else would have to handle the project truck...!

See y'all tomorrow anyway...!

It was a great get together. We had lots of good food and even a small fire broke out in one fo the portable cook stoves. There were lots of great cars and trucks. Everything from a top-of-the-line 55 Merc to a slammed rat rod. There were many top rated f-100 trucks to check out for ideas and motivation. Tim, did you get that motor moved? I'll post pix for those that could not attend. Jag

John, the engine has been reportedly resting at Mikes, awaiting a little of his TLC. Lots of muscle to help move it.

BTW, Thanks guys for sticking around and getting greasy with me n Dan.

John, I heard that you won part of the competition with that nice ride of yours. Congrats!!!!

I have some pics to post as well, but unfortunately not as many as I intended. Seems that with its' current settings, my new camera will only hold 7 pics without an SD card plugged in so that's all the pics I was able to get...

I don't know what the big deal was you guys were talking about in regards to moving the engine.

Went pretty easy over here.

Oh, did I mention we used the forklift?

Mike, I had envisioned a scene from King Of The Hill, with everyone standing around drinking canned domestic beer, while Dan was moving the engine. But was surprised to see everyone jump in and get greasy.

Plus, it works allot better with an engine hoist, rather than a furnature dolly I must say.

Forklift? Ha!
Must be nice.

Dang Jim, after looking at your gallery, I figure you would have really enjoyed the meet in Lodi. Close to home too.
