Lift Kit For 1992 Bronco
I have a few questions about lifts for my 1992 Ford Bronco.
1. I want to put 35x12.5 BFG Muds on but i went to 4wheelparts and they say that i have to go with either a 6" suspension, or 4" suspension w/ 2" body or i will rub really bad. What do yall think?
2. If i do have to go with a 6" do i have to change the driveshaft or make any other mods?
3. What is the best lift for the money?
4. How hard and how long does it take to install a suspension lift?

I think they're probably right on a '92.

No d/s mods. Ext brake lines are a good idea, and drop pitman arm of course.

Who knows. Superlift maybe. Do NOT let 4WPW push Pro-Comp on you.

8 hours to 4 days depending upon your experience, tools, shop and helpers.

he is exactly right on every point, i have a 90 bronco with the 6" superlift and i am happy with it, one other thing is when you put the rear blocks on be sure to LEAVE the factory blocks on also so that your driveline angle will be correct, it took me and a friend 2 days to do the job

My advise is getting the 6" superlift, with the radius arms. If you want a decent lift with no rubbing get the superlift. Make sure you get 8 inch rims NOT 10 inch. I haven't seen a 92-96 Ford not rub when the tires completely articulated unless it had 8 inch rims. If you have the extra money get their leaf springs also, stacking blocks isn't the best way to go, plus their leafs ride pretty nice.

I have installed/uninstalled my lift kits several times, on the Bronco. It doesn't take much time just patience and someone to help is always nice. Usually drivline modifications aren't needed for a 6" lift. Once you go to a 8" lift then the driveline angle needs to be adjusted.

ive got a 1994 bronco with a 4" RANCHO lift & 35" BFG's with the drooped pitman arm & the extended (15") radius arms.
i shimmed the front bumper forward 5/8" & shimmed my turn-stop bolts out 3/16" (the ones on the back of the spindles).
been driving around alot now various conditions, & no rubbing at all.
as for my rear drive shaft, i have a constant velosity carrier comming off my trans case (2 u-joints in a carrier) i kept the factory taper blocks for my rear axle & my drive shaft angle seems fine, no binding or vibration.
good luck with your lift. id recomend the RANCHO lift it was the most complete 4" for the money ($1200) included drooped pitman, radius arms, 6 RS5000 shocks, drop brackets & add a leafs. i love mine looks good & rides great. (i think the Rancho radius arms are better looking than the boxy looking SuperLift ones.)
although i added blocks 1" to my rear axle in addition to the add a leafs (seems to be nessessary for broncos, probably due to the fact that the lift kit is for pick-ups also & the bronco is much heavier than the pick-ups).
