Hi,
Does anyone know if theSuperchip Model 1705 has fixed the MPG reading in the cap. It is so annoying that it does not work. I installed the Towsafe level about a year ago and have been getting 18 to 19MPG by actual calculations on the highway and 15 to 16mpg in town, but the computer says 23. I have not reset the MPG reading in over a year and miles to empty seems fairly accurate, but the MPG is still off.

There is no fix. Some folks are lucky to have theirs semi-accurate when in stock form. Once you chip it or add a tuner, all bets are off.

 

about 6 months after i bought my truck; i look down at the gauge said that i was below empty, but the LieOmeter said that i had another 50 miles to empty, so i figured i had more than enough to get to a fule station, about 2 seconds later i ran out of fule while stopped at a red light, ever since then i have never trusted that thing.....

 

The lie-o-meter. When we had an excursion we were pulling a trailer with 4 sleds on it, it said we had 0 miles till empty with an 1/8 tank of fuel.
