paint Job?

I just purchased a 1995 XLT. I love the truck, but I am not too fond of the color (unfortunate since the paint is in almost perfect condition) Has anybody had a full paint job done on one of these? Any ideas to the price range? I have called several body shops, but they all refused "that" kind of work!!!! The only quote I got was from a MAACO (sp?) guy in Indianapolis, and he seemed a little shady on the phone (he did not want to quote the time involved for sanding and finishing...plus he did not want to paint the inside of the doors!)

I plan on keeping this truck for a long time, so I want it to be just right.

Any help is appreciated.

Go to the body work section of this message board and read. There are some interesting comments on paint jobs. Also go to www.autobodystore.com and read.

DO NOT GO TO MAACO! I have heard nothing but BAD, BAD, BAD things about them! A former company I worked for had one of their vans painted there and it started to peel within 6 MONTHS! They are very cheap, but you get what you pay for.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-May-02 AT 12:49 PM (EST)]I agree. No Maaco! Their paint jobs look good for a year or two, and then they start peeling really bad!!!
