'99 Explorer - what transmission?

I've got a 99 Explorer, the door tag lists "D" under the transmission code. Is this the 5r44e or the 5r55e?

It's a 5R55E.

The "D" code identifies the transmission as a 5-speed automatic. According to my factory manual, there were two auto transmissions offered in 1999, and the only 5-speed was the 5R55E.

The other tranny available in 1999 was the 4-speed 4R70W.
