A direct and simple bolt in by just changing the box, adding pump w/ brackets and crank pulley would be with a Bendix box (4 bolt cover).
Do yourself a favor and use a Saginaw box (2 bolt cover).
There is a reason why Ford only used the Bendix for only a couple of years then went to Saginaw's they leak, twitchy, now expensive to rebuild and the odds of a good core are getting low.
Find a Saginaw boxed donor (360/390), you'll need the steering column (it's shorter by 2" as the box is longer), firewall mount bracket, box w/pitman arm, pump w/brackets and the left motor perch. Bolt to the two forward holes vs the back two of three holes on the X member, your perch is on the rear two holes for a manual box. This would be a good time to rebuild/reseal box and pump, you don't want to pull it again.
Buy new hoses plus add a cooler.

Okay thanks, and by chance do you know anything about the possibilities of adding a top load 5 speed into an f100?

If it's a FE motor you'll tear up any of these newer boxes unless you use a TKO rated 500 or 600 ft/lbs torque. They are a direct bolt up and come in different OD ratios. Others have used Clark 5 speeds or the newer Dodge NV 4500 5 speeds but then your into a adapter then make it work/fit. Not my mug of bier.

Granted TKO's are not cheap but then a out right purchase of a remanufactured 5 speed plus adapter plate then make fit (butcher)
to fit will cost about the same.
Check thru their site as you can select the box gear ratios, 500/600
torque plus 3 different locations of the shift lever.
I bet the weight savings alone will help on fuel mileage, you don't have to reduce you payload.
Check my new topic in the steering section.

Lighter like only 105 pounds unless you prefer a cement truck transmission weight not a problem.
Just a few of many here:
http://www.tremec.com/English/products/TKO.asp with 8 shifter locations, shows a gear ratio chart.
http://www.keislerauto.com/ford/tran...tang_65-70.asp. They list for any FE motor. They blueprint the TKO and bump tq ratings to 550 & 650 ft/lbs tq. They list high dollar as it's a complete bolt in kit.
After driving a road race BB Vette on track there is nothing that comes close.
