Test Rig for Tow Dollies, and other trailers - using external battery
I built this today. I used a tow-vehicle seven way socket, and a set of old jumper cables that I cannibalised to get the heavy guage wire and clamps from. Not to mention crimp-on terminals and some scrap wire...
The purpose is to have a way to clamp onto a spare battery (thus the jumper cable ends) and power lights and other stuff in a dolly, car trailer, or other kind of trailer
It checks the lights, and the brakes, using a spare battery as the power source.
It is specifically intended for trailers that have no battery of their own, because it is dead, gone, or never will have one (such as a dolly or a boat trailer)
