Discussing looks is always silly since it's such a subjective thang....people actually bought Avalanches for cryin' out loud!!!
Now for some silliness:
The GMC is the best lookin' 1/2 ton out there......how could it not be, it looks like the old Super Duty!!!
The '08 Super Duty is uglier than ANYTHING right now.....those sad sack headlights remind me of a person with Down's syndrome or maybe the cartoon character Deputy Dog. However, the interior, which is all we see while driving anyway, is OUTSTANDING!!!
As Osbornk stated.....drive the Tundra and you won't care what it looks like (and it's not that bad IMHO......needs to color coordinate that GIANT chrome band around the grill)

I think the new Silverados are ugly. I didnt think they looked too bad untill I saw one in person, but once I saw one in person I was like, "oh wow, thats ugly..."
Im not all that crazy about the looks of any of the trucks right now, but the Fords are starting to grow on me.
No doubt Ford will ugly up the '09 and I'll hate it again though.

all the trucks in my opinion look to much alike.
some are uglier than others, but thier basic design is all the same.
not quite like the variety we got in the mid 90's, you could tell at nite or from a far distance what truck brand it was, now a days i even have trouble doing it.
people say they totally independently design the trucks, but that is hard for me to believe, way to many similarities for me to really believe that.
the new superduties....way to ugly for me, and a truck's looks shouldn't have to "grow" on anyone, especially for the price they ask. for that much a person should just go "dang! thats a sweet truck!"

I know where you are coming from - but the market works otherwise.
Remember the great BMW 7-Series "debacle" when it came out with its styling?
People said nobody would buy them - and initially thier sales weren't as good as expected, but sales didn't decrease over the models lifetime, they actually increased (very rare for that segment), and now the rest of the BMW range that have gradually come out with the "flame" styling are selling hand over fist.
Like it or not, people seem to like car manufacturers that have the "*****" to try something bold.
Its just a pity they all seem to copy each other with these "bold" stylings...

I leveled it, painted the cladding, spooned on REVOS and...
it's...
still...
ugly...
However, it looks really good covered in mud!

GMC's are downright handsome. They took some real nice cues from Ford. Ford took some from an alien on planet weirdness.

And I'm just curious but, what is it that everybody doesn't like about the new Tundra...why do you think it's ugly. Because personally, I think it's the best looking truck on the road. It didn't take any getting used to...I feel in love with it the first time I saw it. I think the chevy is alright too...not beautiful, but alright.
