Question 351w with 400m parts

I was wondering if you can stork a 351w with a 400m crank. Also can you use the bigger 400m heads. I found that edelbrock has a e-boss intake for the 351w that lets you use their 351c performer heads.

why? there is no reason to run such parts when the aftermarket has these items that require no mods to make work. People used to use a 400 crank to make a stroker for the windsor motors but that is old school. most stroker cranks are cheap and easy to find. if you could find C heads it might be worth it but honestly there are plenty of other options out there like some DOOE or Gt40 heads that done require a special intake.

the reason that i want to use the parts is that i can get a 400m with no intake and bad block for free. and i don't have the money for the stroker kit.

Yes a 400 crank can be machined to fit in a 351W block but the cost of the machine work and parts necessary to make it work will be far greater than the stroker kits that are readily available. If you can't afford a sroker kit based on a Scat/Eagle crank then you definately could not afford to adapt a 400 crank into a Windsor.

i see 393 stroker cranks on ebay for around $200, then just run stock 351w rods and 302 pistons and there ya go.
