oil pump gear on 226

I am rebuilding a 226 and need the oil pump gear or assembly, if i cant capture the gear by itself. Does anybody know where I could find one? Also I have noticed there are a lot of gears for the v8s.. does anyone know if any of those would work on the 226? thanks frank

Kanter or eggie will have that gear. They have a rebuild kit for oil pumps. I got mine from Kanter. 800.526.1096

Kevin I called Kanter and talked with a 'Fred' that saids that they don't carry that gear. He said it wasn't in their catelog so he couldn't find it.

Is there a Kanter number or description or invoice number or even a sales person that helped you that might help them find it. thanks frank

OHA-6652-A .. Gear, Oil Pump & Distributor Driven ~ 226 (& 254 1950/53) 10 Teeth 1.164"/1.168" Gear O.D.

41A-6623-A .. Oil Pump Screen 226 (& 215; 223; 239; 256; 272; 279; 317; 337)

7HA-6650-A .. Rotor & Shaft-Oil Pump

The pump, gear and rotor/shaft will not exchange with the V8's.

I wouldn't have thought that part would be so hard to find. I found the OHA-6652 gear at Bob Selzam, 732-928-9421 in NJ thanks to V8ER
