Typically not an item that you can get from a yard. They sell the engines complete with flexplate nowadays, and do not like to pull parts from them. Autozone lists a new one for $54.Dealers shouldn't be much more than that-I'm pretty sure the last one I got at the dealer was around $65. All you need is one for an F150/Expy 4R70W with an 8-bolt crank.

That's about it-unless you find a yard that has a core engine lying around that they would want to part out.Possibly ebay-I see intakes on there from time to time.

I used the pull a 30ft travel trailer that weighed a max of 6500lbs with the '98 F150 in my signature. It had 200K miles on it,and handled it without much fuss.
hehe..here's a pic I shot when pulling that trailer down the interstate on a road trip a couple of years ago...

It should-just swap the external accessories and the intake, etc. There were 2 different torque converters used on CV's though. One was a 12" and the other was an 11.25" converter, and the flexplates were different between the two. The flexplate for the 12" will fit you truck converter, the 11.25" flexplate will not.
