Camper Shell Brake light
Well the idiots who put the camper shell on my 99 xlt decided to wire up the 3rd brake light to the left hand turn/brake lead on the towing harness. After a bunch of thinking I figgure that the best place to hook in for a real brake (only) light is the same place that the 3rd brake light taps into on the cab.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the appropriate wire or location to tap into?
Thanks.
David

You don't want to run a wire all the way to the front of the camper shell. You need to tap into the break light wiring on your rear fender break lights. That way it will be easy to find the right wire and you won't have to run half a mile of copper.
You may be fed up with the clowns but I would actually bring the truck back to the installers. After all, you paid for it!

PS: If you write email, I can tell you exactly where my wire runs from on my 97 with the camper shell. geo.aigel@netzero.net
