What the hell is the SCB plug?

OK guys...finally got a day off and am changing plugs in my 01 Lightning. Yes is is a little challenging. The 3rd one back on driver's side is going to be the sole reason I spend eterinty in Hell. Anyway, on the driver's side, just above the 3rd one back there is a regulator. Above that an electrical thingy-ma-bobber with place for a wire labled "SCB" to plug in. Mine is unplugged and I don't know if I did it trying to get the spark plug out, or was it unplugged for a reason, i.e., when it was tuned (Johnny Lightning). What is it and should it be plugged up?

How do you get the damned 7mm boly out on this GD coil pack?

SCB wire/ plug question

Whew!!! Got the plugs changed! Found out SCB wire is boost bypass. Bought Denso plugs for my truck, with 4# pulley, from Johnny Lightning. The plugs that came out looked good. They were Motorcraft Platinum. They were gapped at 40- 42. The lady @ Johnny Lightning said the Denso Plugs were pre-gapped and ready to install. They were gapped at 30 or so. Am I missing something here?
Took truck for a test run and it runs fine. What are the effects of miss gapped plugs?

Glad you got it figured out.

I was going to ask you if this was the plug you were talking about.

If it was, I was gonna tell you what you've already discovered.

As for those PITA 7mm coil screws, I replaced mine with these extenders.

It makes changing the plugs tons easier.
