wendell borror has a good reputation on FTE.wendell borror has a good reputation on FTE.
I just read it in truck trend, it's gonna be the 4.4 v8 turbo diesel from land rover and it's supost to be out by the end of 08. Ford and international are on the skids, the 6.4 will be the last joint venture between the two as it stands.

Well the truck might be available in '08 but it sounds like it's gonna be a '09 model.

wiingnut is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
I've been hearing 09 model year with a Ford developed diesel available in 150, Expy and Nav. I also heard as a base offering for 250. Who knows? Rumours, rumours, rumours!!!

TUPY will cast the CGI block and the engine will be assembled in Ford's Mexico engine plant. The first 4.4l are to be from the British Ford diesel center in Dagenham, England.
I have seen them in current F-150 mules. Very quiet and rev like a gas engine.

magazines are extremely reliable sources of information. for the past 5 years I've been reading about the vaporware nissan skyline that's coming to the US with a twin turbo v12, awd, weighs 2500 lbs, gets 70mpg and runs 9s on the 1/4 mile. so far Nissan is skurred of 400hp vettes, 500hp GT500s and so on...

but the magazines keep dreaming. I'm not saying the diesel won't happen from ford, i'm just saying what it's gonna be is just speculation for now.

The 44 in your username wouldn't have anything to do with it, would it? As in 4.4L?
