Leather Seat Repair

Can anyone tell me what to use to repair small cracks or cuts in my leather seats. Saw some kit for Leather/Vinyl repair at the parts store came with some patching material, color matching adhesive or something and a small iron looking thing (looked like a soldering iron with a small flat round end on it)
Is this what I need

Thanks,

JB

Hi JB - welcome to the appearance forum.

Sorry I can't help you with your leather problem. Have you tried calling a local upholstry shop?

This isn't one of the busiest forums, but I'm sure someone will pop in here with an answer (good or bad) in time.

Just got mine back from having some panels replaced. Not impressed with the work from this upholstry shop!!!! Replaced with vinyl and the color did not match!!!!
Taking it to another shop this week to have it fixed correctly!!!!! Make sure you tell them to use real leather, not faux leather (vinyl)!!!!!! Ask for some referals from the shop for similar projects they have done and call them to get their opinion of the shops work. I did not do this with the first shop and am sorry about it. Get the quote in writing saying real matching leather, no vinyl !!!!!!
