What Kind Of Transmission Is This?

I found this at an estate/barn sale last weekend..The guy running the sale said it was for a Ford truck...Must be a really old Ford Truck..It does't say Ford any where on it though. But it does say Warford...Any ideas,Thanks.

I would say it may have came out of a Model TT truck. It doesn't look like one from a Model T car. Warford made both transmissions and auxillary transmissions. Is it a trans or an auxillary trans?

Patented 1926? Wow, that's old. Never saw anything like it.

that looks like a high low axillary gear box for a larger truck.. it would work similar to the 2 speed rear we have in the 17 "T" model firetruck here in town

I was thinking it might be an auxillary gearbox based on the shifter mechanism. Looks similar to the NP205 the way the rod goes in the side. How many gears in that thing?

I guess so:

http://www.fordtontruckclub.org/warford.htm

Actually the link is to some sort of 3 speed Warford trans used with a 2 speed Ford trans.

Just got in from work..I took the top plate off and here is what I saw.

The thing has a foward or high position, nuetral and then a reverse or low..Very basic..Two gears on top, a connecto gear that the shifting fork is attached to and two gears on a single shaft below...Shifts very nicely between the gears.
