Looking to Upgrade....
Hello all,
I love my 1992 Bronco and I am lookin to upgrade somethings on it.
First, does anyone know if the bolt pattern from Seats of an Expedition will fit the 1992 bronco.
Second, whats the biggest tire I can get away with, without a suppension lift, right now I have 31x10.5x 15.
Any advice or experiences others have had would be helpful.
Thanks.

I'm not sure about the seats, though I am sure you could have some custom brackets made...
As far as the tires, you can run 33 X 12.50 on the truck with no lift, although you will get some slight rubbing when you turn the wheel past a certain point. This may be something that can be corrected with the proper back spacing and some trimming of the bumper.

matthew,
what about his axle ratio? if it's 3.55 and not 4.11 won't it cause that 302 to work a lot harder? If he has a e4od w 4th @ 0.75:1.0, he will have to drive it with od off so it stays in 3rd which i think is 1:1 ratio. with that in mind, isn't the mpg going to slipp off?
when i bought my 90 351 new it had lt275s tires and i put on 31 x 10.5 x 15 and it loss power and mpg. i couldn't stand the way it looked with those tiny tires so i left the 31s on. i instead made a bunch of engine improvements to increase torque and now i get 13-15 mpg.
my tires rub on the tie bars, but i noticed there was a stop bolt on the brake casting that i could adjust to make the lock to lock less so that the tire don't rub. hth.

I am still running stock axle ratios in my Bronco, and I am running 35" tires. Granted, I have the 351, but I have still heard lots of people say that you lose tons of power. Despite all that I have heard, my Bronco still smokes just about every other truck on the road, with no engine mods. I don't know if something was done to it before I bought it or not, but I have plenty of power, even at highway speeds.

Natthew,
Have you jacked up the rear end and put it in neutral and turned the drive shaft to see what the REAL axle ratio is? I'm thinking you have 4.11 axles.
If you have a stock 351w, E4OD tranny and 3.55 axle ratio, no way to make the 35" tires smoke or break loose from a start.
