I promise I'll get at least one before my puter dies!!! And, yupper, I turn it to 100% CPU at bed time. Not sure if I should check that other box in the control panel though. Does it speed things up?

so i just cancelled a wu, it was 56 points and was going to take 10 hrs from start to finish. i am averaging a 186 pointer in 18 hours so i was like, get out.
fordboy, it matters not the pt value. all WU's count. my junk computers only work through the WU's every 4-5 days. i'd kill to work 1 in 10 hrs. you've kicked ass doing folding, but i beg, don't short any WU you get.
You go through a WU in 4-5 days with a junk computer? ...... that sure don't say a lot about mine then. ROFL. I'm STILL working on my first WU, setting the CPU at 100% whenever I'm not using the puter for anything. Right now I'm at 2650/5000. Am I doing something wrong? And I don't even see a "points", but maybe I just haven't looked close enough.
Closing out a program and just going for points isn't the object. Each WU has it's reason for existence. How would any of us feel, if we canceled a WU and it turned out later to be THE ONE that offered a huge clue and/or the key leading to the right approach to a cure?
I don't have a clue if that's how the WU's work, but ya gotta figure that each one has it's purpose. So, I'd say go for what's handed out and just git-r-done. Of course, we want to be the top team, so we can share even more pride and happiness in what we do, but it isn't a popularity contest as a first goal .. to me, it's research first and standings 2nd.
Please don't take this as a personal attack, because it isn't. Just want to offer a different way to look at it. Now, if I'm wrong in any way here, I stand to be corrected and edjumacated as to the error of my ways.
I'm doing WU on p3040_supervillin-03 . Supervillin... kinda a nifty name. That have anything to do with points? I don't see a points anywhere on the screen display.

ford it show in displays as 20000 but but that leaves off a few 0's. the WU's that show 5000that i've been doing actually log like this
