How long will my V10 Last?

This is my first Ford and I am in love with my dark shadow gray 03' V10 Crew. How long will this truck last if properly taken care of? I just bought it with 74,000 miles and was wondering how much I can get out of her. Is there any options for buying a crate motor or tranny when they eventually go out? I just don't ever plan on getting rid of it, it's that nice! I payed $13,900 for it so I'm already ahead of the game so it's worth it to put some money into it. I have 06' emblems and grill on it so far and the 4.5 DR lift is next.

It should go till about 250-300K before you need to start thinking about a rebuild. Now that's the long block I'm talking about. No telling how long the "hang-off" stuff is gonna last. Congrats on the great deal!

There has been a few of these discussions on this site before. I remember a few dealer techs saying that they have worked on a few with over 400k on them. So as long as you do your routine maintenance, it will last for a LONG time.

There are people on this site that have 295,000 miles with no problems. TAKE CARE OF THE BEAST

The 4L in my old 95 Aerostar went 195K miles before the head cracked. (Gee, what a great reason to replace the van with an F350 V10 ) I'm guessing that this motor has at least 300K miles in it as long as it is taken care of.
